Nice travel mouse March 6, 2010 I purchased this mouse to replace my Apple Mighty Mouse that died after about 1.5 years. Just stopped being recognized by my MacBook (white, non-unibody, Mac OS 10.6.2). Works great. Logitech makes the best mice in the business. Highly recommended. As an aside, the Mighty Mouse is the best mouse that Apple has ever made - meaning it's not as big an ergonomic nightmare as their other sad, sad, efforts.
Resolution and configurability are just fine for a 13" laptop. Does not exhibit any lag and after some effort to get it paired, it now pairs quickly without any problems. Even the notoriously bad Logitech Control Center software seems to work fine. No issues, ergonomic (for a travel mouse), nice looking, works fine.
Good company good mouse March 3, 2010 You expect good products from Logitech and that's what you get. This is another example of a quality product backed by really good support. I own a number of Logitech products and all of them do exactly what they are supposed to do - somewhat rare in today's marketplace.
Sporadic Connectivity March 2, 2010 The Logitech V470 Bluetooth Cordless Laser Mouse for Notebooks (Blue) failed to connect most of the time, and I have spent hours over the last few days trying to get it to work. I am running Windows 7 Starter on a netbook. My bluetooth keyboard connects fine every time I start the computer, but for some reason the mouse never connected right away. I always had to go through the process of detecting it and / or having the logitech software get it going. Sometimes it worked, but most of the time it didn't. Perhaps mine was defective.
I returned it and will try a different mouse instead.
Software disk did not include support for Windows 7 February 22, 2010 Pros: Great little mouse after the agonizing setup for a Windows 7 computer. Some things I like: it's cordless, it does not use up a USB port on computers with Bluetooth capability, and it's small size.
Cons: Inconsiderate marketing by Amazon and Logitech. The included critical software programs (Widcomm Bluetooth and Setpoint) did not support Windows 7. A current software disk supporting Windows 7 should have been included in the package purchased in late February 2010 -- the software disk accompanying the mouse did not. Although it took me several hours of trial and error after installing the included software (intended for Vista and XP), the final solution for me on a Dell Studio 14z (1440) with built-in Bluetooth was to download the Windows 7 Setpoint software from Dell at [...]- and also available at [...]. I then downloaded the Windows 7 Widcomm software from [...] After installing the mentioned software for Windows 7 and rebooting several times everything worked. Initially, before the multiple reboots, the "Bluetooth Connection Assistant" was not showing under "All Programs - Logitech".
Bluetooth Lazor mouse February 20, 2010 I purchased this mouse so I would have one for my laptop while in school. I have not had any problems. I am running windows 7 and so I had to get updated software from Logitech, and it was easy to find and install. I have not had any problems with distance from my laptop. I have used it at least 10 feet away when the computer was hooked up to the projector. It is a little larger than most laptop mice, but that is what I wanted.
