I love it when people use their brain! The idea of inventing a device which allows you to view dvr remotely is mind-blowing for me. I bought this along with the Lorex LW2702 survaillance camera system so I can monitor my place when I am not around. This device works. The amazingness is not how it works but the fact that such a device exists! The one problem I have with this device is that the Lorex LW2702 is not listed as a device that the slingbox solo is compatible with. The result is that another remote control for a different Lorex model shows up on the slingbox viewing web page which is different from the remote that came with the LW2702. Although this does not affect the slingbox's ability to transmit the Lorex LW2702 feed over the internet it does affect my ability to make full use of my LW2702 remote control when viewing cameras online. Slingbox, please add the LW2702 to your compatible products list. For this reason alone I would give a 3-star rating for remote video quality. Despite this, the video quality is an exact reflection of the quality I get on the LW2702 LCD display Screen. Unfortunately the quality on the LW2702 LCD dislplay screen isn't all that great. I can confirm that this product works outside of the USA because I bought it for use in the Caribbean and it works. Although my Island is not listed in the list of countries during the online slingbox set up it's 'ok' if Caribbean purchasers use United States as their location. Something to note: Once you engage the AV feature on the LW2702 to send the video feed to the slingbox the display on the LW2702 is cancelled. This is not a fault of the slingbox. This is just how the LW2702 operates and I really hate it. You can read my full review on the LW2702.

unbelievable!!!! works as advertised!!!! streams great on my iphone with 3G. awesome on wifi on my laptop picture quality is out standing with wifi. this is one of the best devices i have ever owned. I put this up there with the invention of the DVR. a must have. I will never miss another Eagles or phillies game!!!
Awesome product, way cheaper than Retail Store August 31, 2010
This is an awesome product, and it was $50 cheaper than at the local electronics chain store down the street. Very simple to hook up, my grandma could do it I'm sure! I already used it to watch my DVR while out of town and also in a waiting room while getting my car fixed. It exceeds all expectations, buy one!
Beyond my expectations August 31, 2010
Very pleased with this product. I also purchased the iPhone app. I live near Indianapolis, and while driving to Chicago (as a passenger :-) I was watching a movie from my on-demand via the Slingbox and the iPhone app.
The iPhone app is a bit pricy, but it does deliver. It works great over 3G.
