 Great Battery replacement September 8, 2010
This is a great cheap replacement battery. Just be sure to run it down a few times when you first get it. It's important to give it a few cycles to maintain battery life and maximize the amount of charge it holds.
 Battery died in exactly one year August 25, 2010
This battery went into a Dell Vostro 1000 and lasted just one year. I use the laptop a lot, but one year is a pitiful lifespan for a battery. The original battery from Dell lasted 2 yrs with the same use.

It has not even been a year yet and the battery died! Only lasted about 6 months. I tried to contact the seller and got no response on a replacement (or at least discounted price)! It also gave error messages about not being compatible with dell. Do not buy!!!
Great replacement battery July 20, 2010
This battery provides more hours than the original battery that came with my laptop! I was pleasantly surprised, easy to set up - then you have to follow the directions that tell you to discharge and recharge the battery a couple of times to prime it. Once that's done, its good to go!!
Works great for Inspiron 1501 July 15, 2010
I bought this battery a few months ago to replace the dead one in my Inspiron 1501. It installed with no issues and just worked. I haven't clocked how long it holds a charge, but it's at least 1.5 hours longer than the dead battery.
The negative reviews for other models shouldn't scare away Inspiron 1501 owners from buying this battery.
