 Nice sleeve August 28, 2010
Just got this sleeve today and glad I ordered one for myself and my son. It does have a rubber smell but I'm sure it will air out eventually. It's not too bad. I imagine if you are very sensitive to smells this might bother you. It's a little big for our laptops but it is worth the price. I like the fact we can reverse it so my son will use red and I will use black. This is a good product at a great price.

I really like this product. I have a wide laptop, so most of these soft cases won't fit, but this had room to spare! Like others said, there is a strong, rubber smell, but it's nothing that airing out won't fix.
Pros: Fat, I can easilly take my laptop out without taking the case out of my backpack, protects the laptop while adding a bit of padding between me and it, no zippers (just overlapping fabric).
Cons: The smell, but it goes away, so really, none.
A little Small. August 26, 2010
The description says it will fit a 17" laptop but i have a Dell Insperion 17R and it is just a little bit to small but it still works. I was really impressed with the shipping it arrived a day or so befor it was supposed to. The material is ok not a ton of pading but i mainly got it to keep my laptop from getting scratched up and add extra padding to my laptop bookbag.

This sleeve is excellent not only because of the low price, but also the quality. I expected something "cheap" and flimsy, but that is not at all what we received. This sleeve is well put together, sturdy, and does exactly what it needs to do. The only complaint is that there is a strong chemical smell...but all in all...its totally worth it.

I have an asus G51JX-X5 laptop thats 15.6 inches and this fits perfectly with it. So for users with fat laptops, this 17 inch would be great
